All children in the Compass Partnership of Schools, recognise the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle. During lock down, children participated in daily ‘Directed Exercise’ challenges set by Mr Harries, the P.E. teacher at Horn Park. These challenges encouraged children to exercise daily and enjoy being active.
With the wider opening of schools, we realise giving children the opportunity to be physically active every day is essential to their physical and mental health. Therefore, we actively seek ways to ensure our children are accessing their daily recommended allowance of exercise. Children across the Trust will be exercising daily, and participating in virtual fitness competitions, on top of the P.E. curriculum.
We look forward to being able to compete against each other in larger sporting events when restrictions allow.
