On Sunday 10th March, members of staff from across the Compass Partnership ran in the Vitality Big Half. The half marathon was a fantastic event, starting at Tower Bridge and running 13.1miles through the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Southwark, Lewisham and Greenwich, and finishing at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich.
After months of hard work and dedication, training for the race, staff put themselves through the grueling challenge in some testing conditions. Congratulations to all who participated in the event – it is a real achievement and one to be proud of!
In addition to and alongside the Big Half, Deansfield, Horn Park, and South Rise have been working exceptionally hard to raise money for some amazing causes within their schools. The support we have received has been incredible and we will use the money raised to help support our children and offer them many more amazing opportunities. Across the schools involved, we have raised an astonishing £5736.79. There are just a final few days until our JustGiving pages close and for schools to collect their final sponsorships.
Thank you once again to everyone who completed the Vitality Big Half and to everyone who donated so generously.
