The Compass Partnership of Schools work closely together to drive the development of provision across all seven schools. We have designed and lead our own senior and middle leadership programmes, and have also developed a bespoke NQT programme that supports new teachers in our schools. We work in partnership with Interface Space and the West London University Business School to run our own Masters programme and also host the Greenwich Teaching for Learning Programme. We are passionate about research and engage widely with current thinking and theory, to support us in ensuring we are always learning from evidence of what works.
As part of our commitment to growing and developing teachers for Greenwich, and supporting schools beyond our immediate partnership, we are proud to have Halstow as one of the Teaching Schools leading the Royal Greenwich Teaching School Alliance. We work closely with the University of Greenwich on research-led practice and professional development, to support leaders throughout their career in the teaching profession.
In our school improvement capacity we are supporting over 10 schools across different regions and local authorities to not only help develop their teachers, but to also provide tailor-made improvement and intervention strategies to enhance performance and outcomes. A number of these schools have become Compass Associate Members – you can read more about associate membership in our Core Offer document below.
Our vision is for our children to value learning as a creative endeavour. It underpins their aspirations for a great future and ensures we are all focused on the opportunities and belief that anything is possible.
